Each chakra is an energy centre of the body, allowing external universal life force to enter and then flow through our physical form, energising us. There are also a range of colours associated with these centres. Humans all work in very different ways, some will approach daily life from the head and some from the heart, and because of these differences, we will all use very different chakras during the course of the day. All will be spinning away, but not in balance, because we are using or nurturing some more than others. Perhaps when we sleep, they may start to settle and balance, but then as we start to dream the equilibrium is upset once again. It is almost impossible for all your chakras to be in balance all the time, due to the stresses and strains of everyday life. We are emotional beings and one or more will always be out of kilter, even if only slightly. Despite this, it is good practice to consciously balance your chakras as often as possible.
